Judging process/Methodology
The awards felicitate the enterprises where IT has enabled the employees to address their functional process/work-related challenges. The flow for the awards is elucidated below.

Key technology implementing verticals would be identified.

3-4 key IT using functions would be identified in each of these verticals. For e.g. In Insurance vertical, the functions can be:

» Sales & Distribution » Claims management
» Policy administration » Compliance

4-5 employees in each of the selected function in each enterprise for the vertical would be interviewed to assess the IT-enablement of the function and the enterprise.

12 key Verticals* (Please refer to next slide for details on verticals) – 5-10 companies in each vertical - 3-4 key functions in each company – 4-5 employees/users in each function ~  2000 employees would be interviewed from ~100 enterprises for identifying the winners of the IT User Awards.

This robust 3 phase process will be powered by NASSCOM and India's leading research house, The Neilson Company.

In the first phase the awards methodology will be driven by a survey amongst India Inc's biggest companies…

» The survey will bring to light the company's IT adoption/application strategy – goals, investments, the adoption process, the advantages created and finally the learnings
» In the second phase the survey will tabulate the top 3-5 nominees across categories.
» Finally in the 3rd phase, an eminent jury panel consisting of Industry experts and academicians will come together to select the final winners of the IT User Awards 2008.
